How "Bluetooth" name is coined?

What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is the term used to describe the protocol of a short range (10 meter) frequency-hopping radio link between devices. These devices are then termed Bluetooth - enabled. Today Bluetooth technology has become a norm to replace cables from short range electronic appliances. Bluetooth radio modules operate in the unlicensed ISM band at 2.4GHz, and avoid interference from other signals by hopping to a new frequency after transmitting or receiving a packet.

Do you know how Bluetooth name is coined?

Bluetooth has a very interesting namesake in the person of a 10th century Danish King. Personally responsible for the unification of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, King Harald Blatland’s legendary affinity for tooth-staining blueberries gained him the nickname of Bluetooth.

Just as King Blatland successfully united different cultures centuries ago, bluetooth technology has united the realms of today’s electronic devices with resounding success. As a wireless tip of the hat to King Blatland, Bluetooth technology has embraced the runic alphabetic characters for H and B as its logo.
